(boxes) is a not-for-profit, social furniture design project initiated by Salam Shokor between 2019 and 2021. It was exhibited in Beirut Design Week 2020.
Printed on Lebanese recycled paper, an illustrated assembly manual takes the user step by step through the process of putting a (box) together.
Through a series of posters combining hand-drawn ink illustrations and 3D renders of the boxes in real scale, potential users were invited to explore as many uses of the furniture pieces through fantasy, as well as everyday practicality.
